Exams:
Theory exam:
Anatomy & Physiology: 1hr multiple choice questions
Massage Theory: 30 minutes, 5 question & answer
Health & Safety: assignment
Practical exam: 1 hour
Complete 15 case studies

Duration

4 months’ weekend course,
from 10am-5pm

By end of the course the student will able to:

 

  • perform safe, hygienic and effective Swedish massage treatments
  • understand the mental and physiological effect of massage treatment
  • create a safe and appropriate working environment
  • explain the historical and philosophical foundations of massage
  • understand of the ethical, legal and professional bases for the use of massage
  • understand and describe the structures and functions of human anatomy and physiology
  • understand and describe briefly the basic components and functions of the nervous, digestive, urinary, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine systems and skin.
  • understand and discuss in depth the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system
  • understand the necessity of lifelong learning and professional development
