This massage technique helps to reduce the edema (swelling) in the body. Swelling occurs in the body when the flow of the lymphatic fluid is blocked.
There are two types of lymphedema:
– Inherited lymphedema:
this usually appears during your adolescence and affects your legs mostly in the elderly.
– Acquired lymphedema:
after surgery or injury when your lymphatic system was affected
